The Storm Academy was formed in New York and is a full-featured soccer training organization that has been servicing the New York Metropolitan area for the past eight years. Basic services offered include year round club or intramural training, travel team coaching, attacking and goalkeeping and skills clinics and team oriented or community camps.
It's achievements in it's short existence both on and off the field have given it the credibility it deserves not only in New York but all over the country. Storm Academy won the Super Y-League National Championship in 2002 and 2005. In five years (2001-2005) Storm Academy participated in FOUR Region One Championships, winning THREE of them. In eight years it had 15 state cup finalists with four different teams. In addition the Academy also was granted the title of the
No. 1 Super Y-League club on the East coast (2004 Regular season in the Super Y-League).
The Storm Academy, operated by highly motivated individuals have placed dozens of players into College programs (Ivy League schools such as Brown and Dartmouth and great soccer schools such as Duke, Rutgers and Fordham to name a few) and coordinates tours of England and Portugal to offer the International experience for the committed player or team. The Academy is currently involved with no less than seven clubs in New York Metro area with ongoing intramural programs that have an average of 1200 players in each club.
