Each month Storm Academy will interview one of it's employees about coaching, life and favorite things.

Storm: How is the season going for New York Cosmos this year?
Jon: It's just started up but it's going well the goalkeepers are working hard for me in training.

Storm: A lot of excitement over the New York Cosmos how is the club developing?
Jon: Slowly but surely it is moving forward. With the change in ownership it sort of came to a stand still for a while, but we are back up and running and it has been good

Storm: What role do you play in the day to day activities of the team
Jon:: I am the Goalkeeper coach. So my main responsibility is to train them.

Storm: This is your (years?) in professional and college soccer, what have you learnt the most?
Jon: Going on 18 Years. What have I learnt most? To have Patience.

Storm: What players have you played with or coached that have gone on to be professional?
Jon: Well as far as goalkeepers, I have Coached Dan Popik (LA Galaxy), Bill Gaudette( Columbus Crew, Puerto Rico Islanders , Montreal Impact) , Tim Melia( Real Salt Lake, Chivas USA) , Thorne Holder ( Philadelphia Union )

Storm: What other programs have you worked with and what success did you have?
Jon: St. Johns numerous Championships. Dowling College Numerous championships. NY Freedoms national quarterfinalist, and numerous youth teams and organizations, too numerous to list….LOL!

Storm: How long have you been a Storm Academy Coach?
Jon: Since its inception.

Storm: What is your role for Storm Academy?
Jon: VP of Operations

Storm: Favorite team (besides New York Cosmos!) and the team you dislike the most?
Jon:Tottenham Hotspur and I have a place for Liverpool if they are not playing Tottenham, I Dislike Chelsea!

Storm: Where did you play in college? What individual and team success did you achieve?
Jon: St John's Big East Defensive player of the Year, Regional All American 3x running and Preseason All American Candidate

Storm: You were brought up on Long Island Soccer, who did you play for and what was achieved?
Jon: Sachem (State and Regional  Champions), Hewlett( State Finalist)

Storm: What National team did you play for and when?
Jon: Puerto Rico 1992-1993

Storm: Finally, what is your favorite practice as a coach?
Jon: Anything to do with Goalkeeping!
